Job Summary:
 

Responsible to generate savings for clients by performing desktop reviews, assisting in lease audits and other client specific processes.  Position requires working knowledge of landlord reconciliation process, commercial lease operating expense pass through language and lease auditing and settlement processes.  Additionally, the position requires the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and may be responsible for numerous accounts.

 
Essential Job Duties:
  • Perform desktop reviews of landlord reconciliation statements for building operating expenses, insurance, and real estate taxes. Review, interpret, and analyze all charges for accuracy, in accordance with lease documents.
  • Perform year-over-year analysis of reconciliations and evaluate potential issues revealed within each statement. Contact landlords as necessary to request supplemental documentation. Conduct effective negotiations on behalf of clients. Directly responsible for dispute resolution with landlord for any identified claims.
  • Design, produce, and provide to Client, timely and accurate monthly/quarterly reports that identify and record savings, identify exceptions, investigate causes of exceptions, and recommend solutions to prevent future errors.
  • Advise client on how to implement and maintain best practices in lease audit process.
  • Travel locally and nationally for on-site client meetings, as needed.
Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in lease audit/administration or commercial property accounting preferred
  • Or any similar combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency using lease management databases preferred (e.g. Harbor Flex / Apex / CoStar Real Estate Manager / Tririga / Other)
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
