Job Description:


Responsible for the development and management of all critical support systems, UPS, HVAC & Building Management Systems needed to operate the IT & Network server rooms across the United States.


Essential Job Duties: 

Support the facilities infrastructure services team and manage the engineering, construction, and project management resources involved in delivering all Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing (MEP) support systems

Responsible for data cabling infrastructure and design of IT rooms

Ensure customer requirements are consistently met with an emphasis on maximizing efficiency and value of the Client’s facility infrastructure investments 

Evaluate critical support systems and identify and resolve problems, risks, and issues.  Coordinate and plan for future requirements

Provide support for future requirements including upgrades of existing data room support systems

Manage activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components in relation to the Building Management System, CCTV & access systems

Manage all aspects of the project delivery system to ensure on-time an on-budget completion including: funds authorization, design development, bid administration, contract negotiations and construction administration

Responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurately and timely generated and maintained, and for managing the risk/liability of all contracts on behalf of the Client and the Company

Maintain all knowledge bases and technology platforms which support the lab related facilities infrastructure function

Responsible for developing and generating reports containing operating and financial metrics for the function and individual projects

May perform other duties as assigned   


Skills, Education, and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, MEP preferred

Minimum of 5-7 Years of experience in electrical, air conditioning preferred

Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems

Advanced knowledge in data cabling infrastructure and design of IT rooms in support of network and communication equipment

Very strong all-around infrastructure knowledge

Strong PC skills

Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus

A positive customer service orientation

Good oral and written communication skills necessary
