Job Description:

Responsible for the safe operation of the facilities high pressure boilers, hot water systems, and all steam and hot water production equipment.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on boilers, water treatment equipment, steam traps, pumps, vessels, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Record system conditions, analyze data and make adjustments or repairs as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions to insure safe, reliable operation of the facilities steam systems
  • Monitor facility utility usage, alarm systems, emergency background diesel generators
 Skills, Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Possess required State Licenses to act as Fireman In-Charge on High Pressure systems over 500 PSI
  • Ability to read & interpret blue prints, schematic drawings & technical manual
  • Experience with burner control systems is required (Auto Flame and Fire-Eye preferred)
  • Experience with propane/air systems is a plus
  • Must be able to operate and maintain water treatment equipment
  • Must be familiar with related test equipment
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift
